FROM OUR ARCHIVE

Service documented in 1969.

A family-held cutting from The World, dated 26 March 1969, records parishioners of St Paul’s Anglican Church, Soweto, raising R107 for Langlaagte train-disaster relief.

It names Father and Mrs D. C. T. Nkwe as presenting the contribution—an early record of community service.
