FROM THE FAMILY ARCHIVE

A newspaper record from 1969.

The World newspaper clipping of 26 March 1969 describing an R107 relief donation
Family-held clipping from The World, 26 March 1969. Open image to read.

St Paul’s Anglican Church parishioners in White City Jabavu raised R107 over three Sundays to support families affected by the Langlaagte train disaster.

The clipping names Father and Mrs D. C. T. Nkwe as presenting the cheque to The World for forwarding to a relief fund.

This is a photographed family-held cutting, not an independently checked scan of the complete issue. Page number remains unconfirmed. Newspaper republication permissions should be reviewed before public launch.
